Educate Yourself about Racism and White Supremacy
Following the murder of George Floyd last Monday, we are taking a bit of a turn from our normal finance-related postings and shifting to how us white folks can grow in knowledge and understanding of racism and white supremacy. The hope is that we will not only become more compassionate but that we will become better and more effective in advocates for change in our communities.
Here are some lists of ideas of books, movies/shows, podcasts, as well as children’s resources, that you (and myself) are encouraged to take advantage of as we continue to learn.
Some Ideas For…

I highly recommend downloading the Libby app, which is a library app that allows you to check out audiobooks or e-books through your local library. With the current events, these and related books may have a substantial waitlist. Consider purchasing them at your local book store and passing them on to a family member or friend once you’ve finished reading.
